2013: Rooted in Christ

As a church, we desire that the Lord would help us grow, and we are praying that 2013 will be a year in which we’ll follow God’s pattern for this to happen. According to Colossians 2:7, being rooted is the prerequisite to being built up and growing in a healthy way.

Throughout the year we will emphasize this theme and focus on making sure our roots are getting deeper, so our growth can be bigger and higher than ever! January is our “Stewardship Month,” during which we will test our commitment to Christ and strive to manage our lives and resources better for His glory. The end of January will end with a Bible conference. Pastor Dan Shafer from All Nations Baptist Church in Queens, New York, will preach these special services and help us to get rooted more in the Bible. Our Sunday school classes will continue to give Bible instruction each week. We will also have periodic Bible studies available that will encourage fellowship and practical application.

As we begin the year, I pray that the Lord will help us to be sure the roots are deep, so that we may grow and produce as much fruit for the Lord as possible!

In Christ,
Pastor Dennis M. Schaffer
