Who Is Jesus?

By Dennis Schaffer

The world has many opinions about who Jesus might be. He seems to be significant in some areas and is treated as disposable in others. Some people use Jesus' name with reverence, others with disdain. Can we really know the real Jesus?

Explore what some have considered to be the secret (and sometimes forbidden) chapters of ancient prophecy that connect the dots to build a profile of Jesus of Nazareth, the Galilean, who is said to have changed lives and nations.

We will specifically look at Isaiah 52 and 53. Part of Isaiah's prophecy, these words were recorded about 700 years before Jesus of Galilee was born. Isaiah gives us at least 24 of the hundreds of prophetic clues that describe the Messiah.

These chapters describe the Messiah as a "suffering servant." As we compare the prophecies to the biographical accounts of the New Testament and elsewhere, there are striking similarities to the life of Jesus.

This sermon series is intended to help you think and examine the historic Jesus, his life, sacrifice, resurrection, ascension, and return and what this means personally for you, your family, and the world.

When: Sunday mornings in March at 10:30; Easter Sunday at 9:00 and 10:30
