My family and I wish you a very merry Christmas! Below is a gift from our church for you.
Jesus Christ came, and by coming He brought us all the hope we need. It is hard for me to understand the incarnation when the eternal God added flesh and entered our world.
I am grateful for the reason, however. He came as the mostly unspeakable Gift God could ever provide! In Him, our world has seen the light of salvation, and in His holy name we may receive it because He paid for it by His sacrifice on the cross. If you would like more information about how to know Christ personally, start today with an on-demand Bible study about salvation. (https://start.odbc-church.com/ is a link you can share with others, too, to share God's gift with them!)
Our prayer is that you will have a blessed time celebrating and feasting on God's blessings at this time of year.
ODBC Christmas and New Year Service Schedule:
Sunday, 12/25: 10:30am (No Sunday school)
Wednesday, 12/28: 7pm (Combined Service)
Sunday, 1/1: 10:30am (No Sunday school)
Wednesday, 1/4: 7pm (Adult Bible Study, Kids' Olympians, ODBC Teens)
I look forward to being able to celebrate Christmas with our church family this weekend. Christmas Sunday at 10:30am, we will see God sent "Hope at Last!" There are so many hopes, but only One is the hope you and I truly need.
Our church has a gift that we will be giving throughout 2023. We will be sharing hope with personal devotional messages via video or podcast formats. To get on the list and to know how to subscribe, visit the podcast page: https://opendooronline.com/podcast/. Note, the first 100 list subscribers (with certain limitations) will be provided a notebook with our 2023 theme to jot thoughts, outlines, quotes, etc. to aid them as they study the Bible with us. All list subscribers will be updated about this new, exciting resource as it becomes available at the first of the year. Stay tuned!
This has been a very blessed year, and I am excitedly looking forward to how God will work in us and through us in the year ahead as we share God's hope.
Christmas blessings to you and yours,
Pastor Dennis Schaffer
