The (Unwanted) Key of Paul’s Character

How do you feel about these two words: patience and pain? Personally, I don't like them. My guess is that you don't like them either.

Let me ask you another question. What if the thing we need to develop character is the one thing we don't want? In a "microwave age" that is so advanced, developing character seems like it should be easy. God's process of developing character feels too slow and too painful.

There is no doubt that Paul was a completely different person after he met Jesus on the Road to Damascus--and he kept growing in character throughout his life. Paul was so changed that God used him to both pen half of the New Testament and to be the driving force of the early church planting missionary movement. You can't do those things without character.

We are studying the Apostle Paul's life and learning how God transformed his character. I hope you will be able to be there Sunday morning at 10:30 as we wrap up everything with what I consider to be the most important part of character development.

As I recently mentioned, some will be glad to learn it, and others will wish they hadn't. What we will discover flies in the face of modern false gospels and the subtle thoughts we think about how life should be.

I am praying for you and cheering you on as Christ develops your character! If I may be a help to you, please reach back to me.

Blessings,
