We love our community!

Our church family is grateful to be a part of the community here in Denham Springs and the Capital Region of Louisiana!

Tomorrow, Sunday, November 5, we invite you and others around us to come to "Community Day" at Open Door.

We're doing a few extra things to encourage connections, foster communication, and build relationships. First, we scheduled this on a time-change Sunday, so we get an extra hour of rest (yay!). Second, we will celebrate how God has been blessing our community. In the midst of challenges, there are good things to notice, too! Third, we will provide a pancake breakfast to help folks rub shoulders and connect. Fourth, we will be serving Community Coffee!

For first-time guests who come, they'll also receive a special gift bag that includes an on-site specialty coffee by Harvest Coffee and lots of other great usable things (they may want to share it with other friends!). Let's just say, we want you to know everyone is loved and welcome in our community and at Open Door!

Here's a schedule of the morning:

• Wake up an hour "later" (for those who actually go to bed at the same time on Saturday night), get ready, and join us for breakfast
• 9-9:45 a.m., Pancake breakfast in our new gymnasium building (we call it the FLEC, Family Life and Education Center)
• 9:45-10:15 a.m., Community Bible study together in the auditorium (Sunday school classes are also available for preschoolers and children)
• 10:30-11:45 a.m., Community worship service in the auditorium
• Leave and be a part of the community as we bless and serve others.

Life is busy. Our community has largely retired the front porch, but it's still nice to have positive, meaningful conversations and share the goodness of God with each other.
