There are a number of things that could happen over the course of three days. You could list several things, I'm sure!
But there's nothing in this world as significant as what Jesus did in three days.
The first day, Jesus died in our place on the cross. He shed His blood to pay for our sins. Significant events happened that day as prophecy unfolded, and God's love displayed itself. Then He was buried in a borrowed tomb with a stone sealed in place.
It was a time of waiting, but not many people were watching. The disciples had fled, and Jesus' enemies felt vindicated.
Three days later, early in the morning, Jesus rose again from the dead, and the tables turned. Everything would forever be different!
Jesus' disciples rose in confidence to preach the Gospel, and His enemies tried to hide hush them.
Three days made a difference then, and they make a difference now nearly 2,000 years later.
Since Jesus rose again, He proved He is God the Son: He alone has the power to save people from their sins and is worthy of our worship.
A lot can happen in three days, especially when Jesus is involved.
Remember these days with us as we reflect on Christ's death and resurrection at these two events: "Good Friday" Service at 7pm (April 3) | Easter/Resurrection Sunday Service at 10:30am (4/5).
Let's let these three days matter to us and to those around us. Everything is different because of Jesus now!
Blessings in Christ,
